Sports cars are one of the most important segment in the car business.
One of the staples of the Coupe segment is the Infiniti G37. In 2008 Infiniti rolled out a brand new version of the G37 with three versions: Base, Journey, and Sport. Sales for the G37, especially the G37 Base, were brisk during 2008 and 2009. The improved vehicle quality and the sporty styling were responsible for the increased interest.
Infiniti G37 Engine Specs
The G37 Base is equipped with a Nissan 3.7 liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 24 valves. The engine is mated to a Jatco 5-speed Transmission. This is a long-standing favorite for buyers in the Coupe arena.
The 2008 G37′s normal fuel system runs on gas. The fuel is regulated electronically, with a fuel-injected multi-port fuel injection style of design. The fuel tank holds 20.00 gallons.
Steering control is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The G37 comes equipped with power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. The car uses coil front springs and coil in the rear.
G37 Base Statistics
The G37 is 183.10 inches long, 71.80 inches wide, and 54.80 inches high. It has a wheelbase of 112.20 inches. It is able to seat 4 comfortably.
The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was $34,250 when new, with a dealer invoice cost of $31,497. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 2-door Coupe.
The standard warranty period for the G37 is 48 months, or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. There is also a warranty on the powertrain for 72 months or 70,000 miles respectively. This is standard in the coupe market.
Fuel Efficiency
The 2008 G37 gets 23 miles/gallon on the highway and only 17 in the city. This is below average for a coupe car.

The 2007 model began the promise of the Infiniti G37. The 2008 expanded on this success and has proven to be a strong seller in most markets. Even with strong competition from other manufacturers Infiniti hopes that the G37 Base will continue to be a profitable vehicle.
